Name of the Film Society will 'VPM's Joshi-Bedekar College Film
Society'.

Dr.Vijay V. Bedekar Will be the chairman of the Film Society.

Dr.Shakuntala A. Singh will be the Secretary of the society for
the academic year 2007-08.

Membership of the society will be open to all the registered students
(above the age of 18) and the staff members (Teaching and Non-teaching)
of the colleges of the Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane

Membership Card will be issued to the members, and only the Membership
Card holders will be admitted to the screening of film.

The team of Student Members with the coordinator will run the
Film Society under the guidance of the Executive President.

The main idea of the Film Society is to cultivate the taste for
good cinema.

Cinema is an international art form so the classics of an international
modern cinema will be screened.

Lectures on film appreciation will be organized as a part of objective
of continuing education.

The membership for an academic year will be Rs.50/- payable at
the time of submission of the enrollment form. Enrolment form
will be made available on the website: www.vpmthane.org. Members
can download the forms from website.

Efforts will be made to get grant from UGC for the special activities
like lectures/seminars and other related activities.

Film society will organize screenings of two films (DVD) with
programme note; discussions on film screened and organize film
appreciation lectures of eminent film directors and scholars in
the field.
